If this is the first time you come across with Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera, you may just think of it’s just an upgrade of its predecessor. Well, it may not actually. With a brand new reposition claimed by Canon, the EOS 60D emphasizes strengthening of specifications, control, and creativity. The smaller design, the black plastic body shell, and the support of SD card up to SDXC make Canon EOS 60D an appalling DSLR in the market.There is a Canon 60D DSLR camera, a battery pack, a battery charger, a USB cable, an AV cable, a strap, a CD-ROM and a user’s guide inside the box.
The Canon 60D features an 18MP APS-C CMOS senor, together with the powerful DIGIC 4 processor to support in-camera RAW image processing and allows photographers to edit settings. Also, various kinds of lighting problems can easily be solved by the iFCL metering system which has a 63-zone Dual-layer sensor. What is even more enlightening is the capture of 1920x1080 full HD broadcast level video by the full manual control of Canon 60D.
At the back you can see the brilliantly upgraded screen and the new button layout.
The upgraded screen is a 1040k dot 3-inch LCD, with stunning multi-angle articulation first appeared in DSLR camera, enabling photographers to shoot from all angles. At the same time, the screen has anti-reflection and water-resistant features for better performance.
You can see the extra-large control dial is kept at the back. But the Quick Control dial, Multi-controller and SET button are merged into one Multi Control dial, to let photographs to enter setting menu more quickly.
Also, frequently used buttons are grouped together for easier access. The top LCD is still here to show details.
If you want to show your masterpieces to your family and friends, Canon 60D can let you view images and videos on any compatible HD ready TV with HDMI-CEC through the integrated HDMI port.
The Mode dial at the top adds a lock button to avoid mistaken change of modes. You will have to press and unlock the button before you can change modes.
To enhance creativity, Canon firstly introduces Filters to its DSLR camera. With Grainy B/W, Soft Focus, Toy Camera effect etc, you can have funny photos. You can also add Ambience to your photos to strengthen the effects. And with the new Basic + functions and accessories like the cool EF 8-15mm f4L fisheye, your tones of creativity can now be showed off!
